In the under bonnet fuse box fuse no 16 (15amp) blew. The 7.5 amp fuse is the speed sensor fuse (under the steering wheel fuse box) but its also written alternator on the fuse panel. Now i have a system and an alarm and my alternator fuse keeps poping. I have to end up buying a new fuse, waiting 5 days for it to get here. Make sure it isn't grounded out.

Posted on oct 08, 2008 The wire color code is black with yellow stripe. I keep blowing my alternator fuse for some reason. If you have a short, there is virtually no resistance (except for that which is in the conductor/ wiring itself) which causes an excessive amount of current flow in the circuit because there is no actual load. A fuse can blow one of two ways, although the underlying cause of both is excessive current flow in the circuit. Could my problem be from a loose ground? What year is your civic?
